Received from Mr. Wong Tsan, through Messrs Yuen Wo, a sum of 740 Hongkong currency, for "uchiao and passage to Chile per the 3,8. "Lok Young Maru, (Here the chapp of the Chan Wa, Hongkong is affixed).
It has been agreed that the passenger shall be guaranteed so far as he can successfully get landed at Chile, when the money received for Wuchiao and freight shall be considered as having been settled between the two parties. If the passenger is refused landing at the port and is sent back to Hongkong, the passenger himself shall come to our shop personally, sign hisname and get back his original sum of money, and no other person shall get the money on his behalf. In case of any accident or misfortune befalling the pas enger on the way, each party shall acquiesce in fortune's decree, and no claim under any ples shall be made for the return of the money.
